Summer Movies

The Spring term has come to an end and we are already gearing up for Summer.
Here's how summer works here at the Library.  We are open all summer and everyone is welcome.  Whether you are taking classes or not, the Library is open and checking out what we've got.

The Library is also sponsoring our annual Summer Film Festival.  No, this is not movies for little kids.  Our public community library hosts movies for kids during their summer reading program.  This is movies for the rest of us.
What is it all about?  Well, each summer we pick a great mix of classic and new films to show you.  We watch a movie every Monday evening on campus.  You can come, bring a friend or ten.  Everyone is welcome, students, staff, community members, parents, brothers, friends...you get the point.  We generally have some snacks, but you are welcome to bring your own.  So, one night a week, during the hottest part of summer, you can get away from homework, chores, kids, etc., relax in the cool air conditioning and watch a great movie with some excellent people. And it's sponsored by the Library, so of course it is FREE!

To start off our summer, we are beginning with the extraordinary Zach Braff's film Wish I Was Here.  Yes, I say it's his film...he wrote, directed, produced, and starred in it.  And it is soooo worth seeing.  You will laugh out loud, cry a little, and remember what is good and beautiful about who you are.
Kick off your summer term with a little fun.  We will see you Monday night, June 22nd, at 7 p.m.
