Let's go to the Movies!
So, I know that you have all been anxiously awaiting the Author of the month which has yet to appear here. I apologize for getting such a late start this month. As it's now more than halfway through the month, I thought we'd do something different. In lieu of a particular author, I thought that we'd put the spotlight (figuratively and literally) on a few books that you might have missed. We were just discussing last week at the plethora of good-looking movies out right now, and many of them are based on books. Regardless of your taste in books or movies, there is one here for you. Starting with "Atonement", "Charlie Wilson's War", "P. S. I love you",
"Kite Runner", "I am legend", "Into the Wild", "The Other Boleyn Girl" and "No Country for Old Men", we have a fantastic selection of films birthed from the pages of a book and showing in theaters now. All of which can be found through your Library! A few others that you may have missed in the last year.... "Bourne Ultimatum", "Evening", "Hannibal Rising", "A mighty Heart", and of course "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix", "The Painted Veil", "Eragon", "Fast Food Nation", and "The Last King of Scotland"... just to name a few. I've found that movies are always better if you've read the book first. If one of these movies is on your list, give the book a try too. Or if you are just looking for something to read right now, these will be available and on display on our New Book shelf. Come and check one out.
We love suggestions, so if you have one, please let us know.
