On nature..
This week's featured book is not one I think many would just pick up. It's an collections of essays on nature. Now, before you tune-out or skip on to the next thing, let me tell you what really happens within the pages of The Way of Natural History by Thomas Lowe Fleischner. This collection is actually a wonderful collaboration wherein the author has collected the thoughts of writers, poets, scientists, naturalists and even guitar legend and icon Richard Thompson their thoughts on nature. The result is a beautiful, diverse and interesting read that can be done in spurts or all at once. This book is the perfect summer reading choice for anyone who likes the outdoors or finds themselves at all inspired by nature. I could go on and on about this one, but I'll simply say, Read It!

"To counter the boredome of travel, and the stress of performance, musicians have traditionally resorted to drugs and drink, and maybe that will work for a while; but there comes a fork in the road, and down one fork lies the Grim Reaper, and down the other survival.
