Teddy Bear
Not to be confused with the low-brow comedy about a talking bear, this week's film, Teddy Bear, is one we hope that you will join us for. It is much less intense and serious than last week with just enough laughter and heart to keep you interested and entertained. Teddy Bear, winner of the 2012 best directing award at Sundance, captures the essence of what its like to find and keep a relationship from a man's point of view. The main character is a 30-something professional body builder desperately wanting to find love. Under the thumb of a controlling mother, he aches to escape and find someone who is interested in him. With some advice from a friend, he goes off to Thailand after hearing that the women are kind and friendly. What he finds there challenges him to change his life, his conception of how a man should treat a woman, and not least, his heart.
Come escape the heat, buy some popcorn, and let us entertain you for the evening.
Tuesday nights. 6:30 p.m., in the Science Building Room 104.
