Sun, water, sand, icy drinks...

There is simply a deliciousness that is what summer is all about.  It may be that smell of water, sunscreen, fresh cut grass, the sweet and smoky vapors of the barbeque grill, and fresh open air.  It may be sound of quiet waves lapping, unencumbered laughter or children's giggles in the air, sizzling and popping of a campfire, or the slap of a diving board.  It may be the taste of cool fresh and sweet watermelon as the juice trickles down your throat and possibly your chin, the creamy delight of that first bite or lick of ice cream reminding you of what it was like to be a child again, the pop of a fresh kernel of corn on the cob as the butter and salt mix on your tongue, of saltwater and lemonade, of root beer floats and summer sangria.  It may be the feeling of freedom from worries or fear or time, the feeling of peace or ultimate relaxation as you finish a book or movie in the middle of the afternoon.  Yes, summer is delicious.
