How to change the world

Women change the world everyday.  The beautiful and unique aspect of what makes up a woman can be seen the variety and depths of passions with which women change the world.  Many have done it, on their own, through education and strength.  One such hero in Women's History is the remarkable Jane Goodall.
Jane Goodall always stood out as a strong woman committed to her ideals.  Graduating with her PhD in 1965, when few women were pursuing higher education degrees, Goodall began her career strong.  Her approach to scientific study and research through observation has made her the foremost authority on behavior observation for chimpanzees.  Goodall's theories and approaches have laid ground-breaking roads for scientific inquiry into species behavior as well as human evolution.

Today, at the age of 80, Goodall continues her life's work and passion.  She still lectures, presents, and teaches today's students.  She is a UN Messenger of Peace, has won multiple awards, and written books.  Her lessons continue to be a standard of understanding amongst living creature, human and animal alike.

Goodall's commitment to pursuing her education and life goals are the embodiment of strength.  She has always approached life with a tenacity and grace that is inspiring to say the least.
Her many books and films about her life are available today in the TVCC Library.  Come see us to learn more about today's hero.
